Sid the Sprocker

Most people that know me know that I do have a huge soft spot for Cocker Spaniels, partly because my Mum has one (the lovely but dopey Ambrose!) but also just because they have such a nice nature but now I am equally in lovely with Sprockers!! A perfect mix of Cocker Spaniel and Springer.....meet Sid....he is a complete softie and I fell totally in love with him.

I met Sids parents at the Harmony at the Larmer Tree event in May, I arranged to visit them in their home to meet Sid and take a few pictures, after spending rather a long time playing in the garden I managed to get some gorgeous shots (and a few dopey ones too!)


We decided on a Large size canvas which is 20x20 inches, as we wanted to focus just on Sids face to get his expression and character so this square canvas was ideal. I dropped the finished painting off and Carolyn, Sids mum, was so happy with how I had captured him, unfortunately Sid wasn't there this time as he usually goes to work with his Dad but when he got home Carolyn did manage to take this gorgeous photo of him sat proudly next to his portrait...
